HICKORY, N.C. April 8, 2025 — SunBelt Xpress, a leader in specialized furniture truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) freight transportation, has opened a new terminal in Salt Lake City, expanding its service capabilities across the Mountain States.

This new facility enhances the company’s ability to provide faster transit times, increased capacity and more flexible logistics solutions in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming and neighboring regions.

“This new terminal is a testament to our ongoing commitment to improving service across the Mountain States,” said Chad Clark, Senior Vice President and General Manager of SunBelt Xpress. “It gives us the resources to better serve our customers with faster deliveries and increased capacity, all while upholding the high standards of excellence SunBelt is known for.”

Salt Lake City marks SunBelt’s first terminal in Utah and expands its nationwide LTL network to seven terminals.

Founded in 1965 as a specialized furniture carrier, SunBelt Xpress has grown into a premier freight partner for furniture shippers, retailers, and designers. The company offers direct LTL furniture shipping, full truckload and logistics services, as well as premium white-glove residential delivery.

SunBelt’s drivers and team members are recognized for their dedication to safety, exceptional service, and long-term loyalty—many having been with the company for over two decades.

The addition of the Salt Lake City terminal underscores SunBelt Xpress’s continued investment in growth, operational efficiency, and customer-focused logistics solutions.
