SunBelt Xpress Appoints Chris Hood as Vice President of Operations
Hickory, NC — SunBelt Xpress, a leading asset-based carrier specializing in furniture shipping and logistics, announces the promotion of Chris Hood to Vice President of Operations. With more than 30 years of experience in transit operations and fleet management, Hood will play a key role in strengthening operational performance and supporting the company’s continued growth.
Hood brings a wealth of experience to his role, having served most recently as Director of Regional Operations with SunBelt Xpress. Prior to joining SunBelt in December of 2024, Hood was a regional manager with North Park Trans in Salt Lake City, following a 37-year career with YRC where he held leadership roles across North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
As Vice President of Operations, Hood will focus on streamlining processes, supporting terminal and fleet operations, and ensuring SunBelt Xpress continues to deliver reliable, damage-conscious service to customers nationwide.
